Are Materials Included? Not provided, sewists should bring their own in-progress projects, or you may browse our pattern lending library or purchase patterns/kits/fabrics onsite.
Description: Love quilting or sewing and want to meet other people who share those interests? Come to Hoop & Bee’s Open Sewcial to work alongside folks with varying skill levels, maybe similar or different from your own, and learn from them or share your own knowledge! Ideate, collaborate, problem-solve, and interact in a joyful, inclusive environment. You may even make a friend or two!
Bring your current textile work in progress and use one of our Bernina Academy sewing machines, bring your own, or sink into a couch to work on your hand sewing or other lap-based fiber work. We’ve got the BIG tables and all of the cutting mats and all other tools you may need available — as well as two huge design walls to explore ideas before stitching a thing! There is no instructor assistance for this class, but staff will be on-site for any troubleshooting or high-fives, as necessary.
Please register below to reserve your seat and pay online, or email us to register and pay at the door, or send a carrier pigeon just to let us know you’ll be there. Please do not attend without letting us know to expect you, one way or the other!
Class Registration
All Hoop & Bee classes require registration to ensure enough seats and equipment for everyone. If you have any questions or difficulty scheduling, please reach out and we’ll be happy to help during our regular daytime staffed hours, Monday - Friday from 10am-4pm.
Open studios will run with 2+ participants. If there are not enough participants, you will be contacted to shift your seat to another time/date this is being offered.
NOTE: if you do not see any classes on the schedule, it means either all classes are currently full, or are not being offered at this time. If you would like to register for a waiting list OR request a class to be offered in the future, please contact us.
Before your first session, please review our Class Policies. All participants should be 18+ unless approved by the instructor. Remember to only bring closed-top beverages to class! We are located on the second floor of Eastworks in Suite 209. We look forward to making with you!
